a funny add

This morning I receive an email of an add for highschool math tutor from the department. The recruiter has certain requirement and it's very funny. If you don't know why it is funny....then umm... God forbid that! I also include the reaction from two of graduate students in our department, this is priceless... Have fun~

Tutor Needed:

Criteria:
1) we will consider only ASU Math dept grad students,
2) we will only conisder female students due to my daughter's preference,
3) my daughter is a high school junior - she would need tutoring for pre-calculus/trigonometry, calculus, for schoolwork as they occur,
as well as overall tutoring as she needs on algebra, problem solving, and test preparation (school as well as others),
4) the ideal candidate should have good teaching experience as well as be able to work well with teenagers, they should have
very good standing in the Math dept, excellent GPA, excellent regard from professors,
5) we would be requiring letters of recommendation from professors, student transcript (showing classes taken and GPA at ASU), copies of
any certifications.
6) any candidates must be serious about the tutoring job, we will not consider any casual inquiries.

the process would be: we would first communicate over the phone and go over the basics as outlined above, and if we think there's a possibility we would do a face to face interview. at that point other details can be discussed such as tutoring rates, times, basic rules/agreement on tutoring, cancelling etc.

regards,

mr.XXXX

Hi all,

If anyone is crazy enough to answer this add, I suggest a starting rate of $50 per hour. Have fun.
